The "horse flapping" exercise
This is based on Bobby Shew's 6 step
breathing exercise and his flutter exercise, but it is a modified version
skipping the last part (lifting the shoulders).
I do this when walking around in the room.
Rhytmic intake of air:
-
Intake (small) abdomen moves outward slightly, but relaxed
-
Intake (large) abdomen moves inward horisontally to
create wedge position
-
Intake (large) abdome maintain innermost posistion (lock
wedge tension)
-
Blow out all air, flapping the lips
Always keep the chest up and feel the wedge behind supporting
the exhaling of air.
