Dear, dear Ole:

I am speechless (and that doesn't happen to me often!)
I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. You have made my day!

I am forwarding your website to the ENTIRE fanclub worldwide. My friend Gary
Hayman, who runs the worldwide ZydE_Zine, will be contacting you to put your
photos in his photo gallery on the worldwide site.

Ole, I am sending you a gift: our Zydekats T-shirt. I am also adding your
address to our fanclub - you'll get a newsletter about once a month. If
anyone else has caught "Zydecosis" and wants to join, they can go to
<zydecomusic.com> and enter their email address (it takes 2 tries).

Here's the current newsletter, published this morning (before I saw your photo):

Lisa Haley & the Zydekats are just back from Europe. (This is the Kats'
first expedition to Belgium, Denmark and Holland.)

We had a fabulous time headlining the 7th International Cajun & Zydeco
Festival in Raamsdonksveer, Holland on Sunday, June 6, 1999. Under a
"big-top" circus-style tent, our non-stop show spread "Zydecosis" to a
capacity crowd of European Cajun & Zydeco music lovers. Fans sporting
Zydekats T-shirts came from as far away as the UK. We played them cuts from
our new live CD, "The Music Of Joe Simien", as well as their favorites tunes
from albums #1 and #2. In addition, we gave everyone a taste of the new
songs we're working on for our next CD.

Festival food included the very first "European Cajun" cuisine we have
sampled that actually tasted like Louisiana. Hats off to 'Hans the Chef' for
a great feast!

We were greatly touched that one of the founding members of the festival, Jo
Van Strien, (accordion player fabuloso for the River Zydeco Band, Holland)
has honored us by naming their latest album "Zydekosis", including Lisa
Haley's "definition of Zydecosis symptoms" in the liner notes, and covering
her tune "Can't Love 'Em All" on the album. A wonderful festival which we
hope to repeat next year.

We also performed at the Aalborg Blues Days Festival in  Denmark, where many
of the attendees received their first taste of Bayou music.
(One great advantage of playing Old & New Cajun / Old & New Zydeco / Mardi
Gras, and Original Tunes That Fit: we are invited to perform at a wide
variety of C/Z, Blues, Jazz, Rock, Country, Bluegrass, etc fests... maybe
promoters just can't decide just what we are, but they gotta have it!)

This event was on 4 stages set among beautiful old architecture. Our first
show was outdoors, facing town center.
As we arrived the following day for our second show, the weather turned less
than perfect; it began to hail! Much to our surprise, the large tent was
full of folks, waiting for us. Let us tell you, we consider our concert a
success when people dance and sing along... at this show, 3 people got up
and danced on the tables!! A warm welcome from Denmark.

An evening show at the Essegem Blues club in Brussels, Belgium was also a
highlight. We opened for Roy Carriere and the Night Rockers, and got to
spend time hanging out together, swapping old Louisiana stories.

We have been asked back to Europe for May-June 2000. We think that's a fine
way to spread Zydecosis, folks!!

Lub, Lisa Haley & the Zydekats
